Permaban, RCR Flooring Products’ armoured joint manufacturer, featured in the September issue of two of the UK’s best known concrete industry magazines.

Concrete magazine is the journal of the UK Concrete Society, and is respected in the UK and internationally for its technical editorial pieces and industry news.  A case study article in the ‘floors and screeds’ section explained how a 40,000 sq ft warehouse floor was renovated using Rocland Qualidur surface hardener, an RCR product supplied by Permaban in the UK.
As the floor was still structurally sound, the surface hardener was applied on top of the old floor as a pre-mixed slurry – known as ‘wet-on-dry’ application.  Doing so avoided the considerable cost and disruption of destroying the old floor and laying new.  The result is a stunning new ‘brand experience centre’ for a leading sporting goods manufacturer, including a durable, two-coloured floor.

A second article appeared in Concrete Times, the digital concrete industry magazine published by the organisers of The UK Concrete Show.  This article focused on Permaban’s Signature armoured joint, which prevents joint impact damage in directional traffic situations due to its innovative shape.  Signature’s performance has been proven in projects worldwide since its launch in 2012.  This article cited two projects where the joint was installed in challenging applications and continues to perform well many months later. 

Permaban’s latest advert, ‘Revolution’, also appeared in both magazines, explaining how Signature has revolutionised joint armouring.  The revolution continues with the launch of the Signature AR repair system for damaged straight joints; and the innovative new development of Signature made from glass reinforced nylon.
