RCR strengthens its presence in Africa with the creation of a company in Ivory Coast

10th October 2020

RCR Industrial Flooring formalizes the creation of a new application company RCR Côte d'Ivoire S.à.r.l. based in Abidjan. It will be managed by Serge Zannier, Head of RCR International for North and Western Africa and Director of A2S Rinol Rocland (Morocco and International).

Serge Zannier tells us: “This creation is the culmination of several months of work in the region. We are currently in the process of carrying out several flooring projects in the metropolis of Abidjan for new warehouses and also for renovation works. We have already established very good contacts in the country and its close neighbours, and we anticipate important prospects. Our physical location sends a strong message to investors. We did not come to do one-off operations but to develop a lasting relationship with local companies and international developers. There is a strong demand for industrial floors with international standards, especially for logistics and distribution, but also for industry, especially in the food sector. We want to support our clients throughout the life of their buildings, from design to maintenance.”

RCR Côte d'Ivoire will rely on the engineering of Monofloor France, which works with French standards (DTU 13.3) as well as European or American methods. It can also count on teams from Rinol Morocco who have international experience of major projects (Ethiopia, Nigeria, etc.). Obviously, the company will also benefit from the entire range of RCR products for its projects.

Emilio Esteban, CEO of RCR confirms: “This settlement of an application company in Ivory Coast fits to our strategy. After Morocco and South Africa, Abidjan positions RCR at the heart of West Africa. The country offers great prospects with one of the fastest growth in the world and, moreover, it is the wealthiest country in the region. The needs for logistics infrastructure are important and the quality requirement is already present, of course for our global customers who are looking to establish here and also for national investors who value our offer of innovative and sustainable systems."
