RCR was pleased to organize the Latin American Industrial Flooring Symposium (LATIFS), held in Monterrey and Mexico City on 10th and 12th July.

The one-day events followed the highly acclaimed 2017 LATIFS series, and once again this year focused on the latest trends and advances in industrial flooring technology and practice.

Two of RCR’s technically advanced flooring systems were featured in the programme – RCR Conductil VRS and RCR Optipave VRS.

Conductil VRS uses a unique volumetric control additive, Link EVR, which allows ‘jointless’ steel fibre reinforced concrete floors to be created, even in irregular shapes.  This additive controls natural concrete shrinkage, which means fewer saw-cut control joints are needed across the slab.  This means the floor requires less maintenance during its lifetime and is more versatile in how it can be used.

Optipave VRS is the latest industrial flooring system added to RCR’s range.   Again, it uses the Link EVR additive, but applies it to exterior pavements where there will be heavy truck traffic.  The system uses TC Pavement’s OptiPave software, which calculates load bearing requirements and structural integrity of the exterior slab.  The calculations are overseen by Monofloor’s expert industrial flooring consultants.

The LATIFS ’18 conference saw 100 attendees, comprising engineers, major logistics clients and international retail brands.  Many expressed their appreciation for the high level of technical content and expertise on display.
