The last of the LATIFS ’17 series of industrial flooring symposia, sponsored by RCR Industrial Flooring, has taken place in Antigua, Guatemala.

The one day event, held on 21st November, was the fifth LATIFS event this year.  It brought together flooring contractors and engineers from across Latin America to discuss the latest trends and technical developments in industrial flooring; and featured expert speakers, including several from RCR. 

LATAM Regional Director Juan de Jorge spoke on industrial flooring conception and design processes, followed by Monofloor Technical Director Agustín Escamez on design calculations; jointless flooring solutions including volumetric control; and processes and quality control in flooring construction. 

Lee Brockway, Global Sales Director of RCR Flooring Products Ltd, explored joint design and use, joint protection and CE marking; then Esther Diaz-Cano, LATAM Commercial Director for Specialist Coatings, spoke on resin systems and applications.

Jesus Librán, Director of Rinol Rocland R&T, Spain, followed by discussing surface hardeners, maintenance and aesthetics; with Armand Joly, Technical Manager of RCR Deco International, completing the afternoon with a talk on decorative exterior paving.

This event concludes the highly successful 2017 programme: previous two-day events were held in Santiago de Chile and Lima, Peru in May; and Monterrey and Mexico City in June.  RCR looks forward to supporting similar events in future.
