RCR was delighted to take part in the 2015 World of Concrete exhibition in Las Vegas, as a guest on the booth of our strategic partner, steel fibre manufacturer Bekaert.

A highlight of the worldwide concrete industry calendar, World of Concrete took place in Las Vegas from 3rd to 6th February 2015.

Together RCR and Bekaert presented combined solutions for jointless steel fibre reinforced concrete floors, showing how Bekaert’s steel fibres work in partnership with Permaban’s Signature armoured joint, and Rocland’s surface hardeners.  Both Permaban and Rocland are part of RCR’s Flooring Products division.

“Impressive new machinery”

In 2014 RCR ran a group-wide competition for one member of staff to win a trip to World of Concrete.  The winner was Luis Antonio Rodriguez Riano, Construction Director at RCR Flooring Applications company Rinolpisocreto SAS, Colombia. 

It was Luis’s first visit to World of Concrete and his first time in Las Vegas.  He spent four days at the exhibition, and as an engineer was particularly impressed with the new machinery on display, which is helping to drive innovation and new techniques in industrial and architectural floor construction.

He commented:  “The exhibition was very positive and very large.  Las Vegas is a really amazing, spectacular city.  This has been a fabulous and unforgettable experience for me, as a professional and as a person.”
